Sevilla -- aimg_1284.jpg
The cistern or rainwater tank beneath the Patio del Crucer, the main plaza in the Alcazar. Also known as Los Baños de Doña María de Padilla (The "Baths of Lady María de Padilla"). María de Padilla, the mistress of Peter the Cruel, would take baths in the tank. This is one of the best pictures I took on the Camino and, with the silent, still water deep beneath the surface of the earth, it was a great metaphor for much of the spirutal journey I would experience.
